One out of eight women is diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
Not only does this diagnosis threaten a woman’s life but also her self-image. This is why we offer hidden-scar breast surgery whenever possible to our patients and have been performing these procedures for many years. Our number-one goal is to remove the cancer and leave our patients with cosmetic results that are superb and do not remind her of her surgery or cancer for years to come.
The treatment of breast cancer involves either a lumpectomy (in which a surgeon removes only a portion of the breast) or mastectomy (in which a surgeon removes all of the breast tissue). Regardless of the type of surgery required, for every woman in our practice we consider hidden-scar breast surgery, in which we hide the surgical scar along border of the areola, in the crease under the breast, or in the armpit. This state-of-the-art procedure is offered based on a patient’s tumor size and location, breast shape and size.
