Eden Amdemichael, MD, FACS

Dr. Amdemichael is board-certified in general surgery and fellowship-trained in endocrine surgery.  She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons.  In addition to general surgery, she specializes in the treatment of thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal gland.  Prior to joining Maryland Surgeons, she practiced in West Virginia and was Assistant Professor of Surgery at West Virginia University School of Medicine.

She received her Medical Degree from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois.  She then completed her General Surgery residency at Hofstra-North Shore/Northwell School of Medicine in New York.  She went on to complete her Endocrine Surgery fellowship at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida.

For Dr. Amdemichael, being of service to others was always a rewarding experience, and this inspired her at a young age to become a doctor.  Helping patients return to health and live happy fulfilling lives is her mission in life and is what brings her joy every day.

When not in the office, hospital or operating room, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and exploring new cuisines.
